Highlights from the IUCAB Executive Committee Meeting in Barcelona, Spain
The last IUCAB Executive Committee Meeting of the year 2023 took place on 17th November in the Catalan capital. IUCAB President Mr. Olivier Mazoyer welcomed the Vice Presidents Mrs. Eeva Pakkanen (FIN), Mr. Charles Cohon (USA), Mr. Enric Enrech (ES), Mr. Marco Righetti (IT), Mr. Ralf Scholz (GER) and Mr. Christian Rebernig, IUCAB Secretary General, as well as Mr. Jordi Marti (ES) to the meeting. Ms. Tintti Ikonen (SWE) and Mr. Ricard Penas (ES) participated as observer.
Social Media and Communication
Mr. Rebernig gave an overview of the financial situation of the organisation and the social media activities of IUCAB. The number of followers on LinkedIn and Facebook is still increasing. Furthermore, the board members decided that IUCAB should be present on Instagram too. The refresh of the Website is in progress and the SEO optimisation will start soon to increase traffic and to improve the ranking.
LUCA-Project to strengthen the skills of Commercial Agents
Regarding the Erasmus-Project LUCA – Leveling Up Commercial Agents Competencies, Mr. Righetti and Mr. Rebernig informed that the 2-year-project was approved and started in November. The objective of the project is to create a certified online training program focused on commercial agent’s needs and to help them to better fit in a digitally transformed international business world. The project team already exchanged virtually and the first official meeting takes place on 27th November 2023 in Vienna. Additionally, IUCAB Members will be involved in some working packages.
Farewell to Mr. Enric Enrech
On occasion of the meeting IUCAB honoured Vice-President Mr. Enric Enrech. The President Mr. Olivier Mazoyer thanked him for his great commitment to IUCAB and all his efforts for the association and its members.
Renewal of the Training Program
9 Associations have to do the renewal of their National Training Program in 2024 to be allowed to use the IUCAB Training Label. The process will start soon and will the adjustments agreed after a survey among the IUCAB members.
Commercial Agent of the Year 2024
The participants were informed that the process of nominating commercial agents for the George Hayward Award 2024 will start soon.
Next Meetings
The next Executive Committee Meeting will be held on 5th April in Athens.
Save the date for the Delegates Meeting, taking place from 9th to 11th May 2024 in Vienna. The invitations will be sent to all Member Associations in February 2024.
