IUCAB exchanges on economic challenges

The IUCAB Executive Committee held a web meeting on 13th November 2020. Olivier Mazoyer, as President, welcomed the Vice Presidents Mr. David Johnson from UK, Mrs. Eeva Pakkanen from Finland, Mr. Marco Righetti from Italy, Mr. Ralf Scholz from Germany, Mr. Axel Sturmberger from Austria, Mr. Charles Cohon from USA as member-at-large and Mr. Christian Rebernig, IUCAB Secretary General to the meeting.

The Executive Committee focused on current challenges regarding the COVID-19 crisis and discussed a potential survey to strengthen the profession, as proposed by Mr. Javier Rodríguez Blanco, guest speaker from Spain.

Further, Training Confirmation according to IUCAB Standards and the George Hayward Award are important issues to strengthen the competitiveness of commercial agents.

Mr. Rebernig gave an update on the current evaluation of the Vertical Block Exemption Regulation (VBER).

Networking, especially in these pandemic times, is ever more important. Therefore, Mrs. Damjana Sever, President of the Slovenian Member Association, was invited to give a presentation about a South-Eastern-European collaboration. IUCAB ensures best practise sharing among its members and for the commercial agents worldwide.

The next meeting of the Executive Committee will take place on Friday, 19th March 2021.
