IUCAB Secretarial Working Group met in Berlin

The Secretarial Working Group (SWG) of IUCAB assembled on Friday 31st January 2014 at the offices of the German IUCAB Member Association, Die Centralvereinigung Deutscher Wirtschaftsverbände für Handelsvermittlung und Vertrieb (CDH) in Berlin, Germany. The meeting was hosted by CDH Co-Director Mr. Eckhard Döpfer.

This meeting was chaired by Mr. Olivier Mazoyer. Mrs. Rachel Detain (France), Anne Duruel (France), Sina Heller (Germany), Mr. Paul Holtrop (Interim Secretary General), Mr. David Johnson (UK), Mr. Jordi Marti (Spain) and Mr. Christian Rebernig (Austria) attended the meeting.

According to all the participants, it was a very productive and active meeting.

Following items were dealt with:

• The European economic situation.
• The situation of commercial agents in the different countries.
• The European Commission’s Refit Program about the Commercial Agent Directive.
• IUCAB delegates Mr. Walter Krammer and Mr. Döpfer are lobbying actively with EuroCommerce – an important lobby organisation in Brussels – in order to have contact with the European Commission.
• IUCAB members were asked to answer a Commercial Agent Survey through a Questionnaire drawn up by IUCAB delegates and EuroCommerce.
• Secretaries defined various applications of this questionnaire.
• The IUCAB Survey “Commercial Agent Activity” was presented.
• Marketing and figures of the IUCAB come-into-contact platform.
• Presentation of the IUCAB Congress in 2015.
• Presentation of the Annual Delegates Meeting in June 2014

The next year’s annual meeting of the SWG is scheduled on Friday 23rd January 2015. The meeting place will be decided during the 61st IUCAB Delegates Meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
