Recognition of Commercial Agents in Africa
June 2015 Meeting in Pointe-Noire
U.P.A.C. (Union Professionnelle des Agent Commerciaux du Congo), founded in 2011 with the support of APAC (Association Professionnelle des Agents Commerciaux de France), is an affiliated member of IUCAB (Internationally United Commercial Agents and Brokers).
From 17th to 20th June 2015 U.P.A.C. organised an Agent’s Congress: “AFRICA OPPORTUNITIES” supported by APAC and IUCAB in POINTE-NOIRE.
POINTE-NOIRE is the economic capital of CONGO, important because of its high potential of raw material resources (for instance: forest, petroleum). Located in the centre of Africa, it is a destination that is very suitable for international meetings.
The main aim of this international event was reached: creating a network between commercial agents and manufacturers from various countries and developing new partnerships. All participants were delighted to meet each other during B2B meetings and they made plans for the future.
The meeting was also set up in order to achieve the recognition of commercial agents in Africa. With that in mind, U.P.A.C. supported the foundation of the African Federation of commercial agents: FAAC (Fédération Africaine des Agents Commerciaux).
Mr. Olivier Mazoyer, President of IUCAB, gave a speech and thanked Mr. Rufin Dibantsa, President of UPAC, for his commitment and involvement in the foundation of the FAAC. He wished FAAC a prosperous future as the representative of Commercial Agents in Africa, close to the African authorities and with business in Africa as well as worldwide.
