The Secretaries Working Group Meeting in Copenhagen
The Secretaries Working Group Meeting was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 22nd January 2016 at the offices of the Chamber of Commerce.
It was attended by the regular Secretaries that make the journey to participate including:

- David JOHNSON (The MAA – UK & Chairman)

- Christian REBERNING (WKO – Austria)
- Marco RIGHETTIi (USARCI – Italy)
- Helena WAKER (Trade Partners – Sweden)
A special warm welcome was made for new participants:
- Jadranka Bartelj (GZS – Slovenia)
- Zacharias Manitaras (CCRA – Cyprus)
As well as our Host – Sven Petersen (Attorney-at-law, LLM for The Danish Chamber of Commerce, Børsen)
Olivier MAZOYER (President IUCAB) also attended the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting always was to share and pool the resources of the National Associations within IUCAB and to act as a communication funnel between the Excom and the grass roots membership.
Christian Rebernig provided a general macro-economic outlook followed by Jordi Martin’s update of the forthcoming Delegates Meeting in Malaga, Spain 19th-21st May 2016. It is planned that a “Speed Dating” B2B event at the Meeting would attract many Agents to meet the local suppliers and manufacturers to build relationships.
Eckhard Doepfer provided an update of the activities and resources of the IUCAB Platform ( www.come-into-contact.com ). The platform is now 15 years old!
With 12 platforms and 11.380 Commercial Agents and growing.
It was succeeding in connecting agents and principals.
It was encouraged that National Associations use the resources in the members area of www.IUCAB.com to publicise the Platforms.
IUCAB’s marketing tools were covered by Jordi, Eckhard and David Johnson while Helena Waker updated the Secretaries on all things Social Media.
A deeper discussion involved thoughts and plans for the IUCAB Web Site – its status and revamp plans. The aim of the revamp was to make the Web Site Mobile friendly, ans used more by Commercial Agents, Principals, National Associations alike.
An update was provided by Anne Duruel on the Training Expert Group and progress with the programme.
Thereafter a “round-table” of news, topics and challenges were exchanged between the Associations. Many important issues were shared and the Secretaries were stimulated by the activities of others.
The next meeting was agreed to be next January either in Turn or Stockholm.
